Elise Ferguson Two Bridge, 2024
Linen, ink, acrylic paint, pencil, plywood
Variable dimensions
Presented by Kingsland Editions
In collaboration with Kingsland Editions, Elise Ferguson will create a large scale project that continues their years long studio collaboration.
Using pattern, color and repetition with a range of process-driven approaches, her work lands somewhere at the intersection of painting, sculpture and printmaking. For this project, Ferguson will create a large, site specific wall based work that is a sculpture/print hybrid. Embracing dimensionality, Ferguson’s wall work will hang from a rail so the top edge is crisp like a stretched painting and the bottom is loose and flows when the viewer walks by. Having long employed printmaking techniques in her work and frequently making reference to design, the work’s repeating forms and varying colors will meander in direct response to this site specific environment.
